NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATED WITH ZEAL AND ENTHUSIASM AT CAMPION SCHOOL, BHOPAL
Campion School, Bhopal, celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit on 29 August 2026. The day was observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary Indian hockey player, and to highlight the importance of sports, fitness, discipline, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. A Special Morning Assembly was conducted on the occasion. The assembly featured inspiring thoughts, speeches and activities highlighting the importance of physical fitness and sports in students’ lives. Students were also made aware of the remarkable contribution of Major Dhyan Chand to Indian hockey and the significance of National Sports Day. The programme was organised under the guidance of Principal Father Amritlal Toppo S.J. and Vice Principal Father Fabianus Xalxo S.J., whose encouragement inspired the students to actively participate in sports and fitness activities. The Physical Education Department, under the leadership of HOD Mr. Johnsy Koshy, conducted a series of engaging sports and fitness activities for the students. The activities provided students with an opportunity to showcase their sporting talent, develop team spirit and understand the importance of discipline and perseverance. “TAGORE HOUSE” WON THE TITLE OF THE INTER-HOUSE LITERARY COMPETITION. INTER-HOUSE LITERARY COMPETITIONS WERE HELD AT CAMPION SCHOOL
Campion School, Bhopal, organised a series of engaging Inter-House Literary Competitions aimed at nurturing students’ language skills, creativity, confidence, critical thinking and communication abilities. The competitions provided students with a vibrant platform to showcase their literary talent and compete in a spirit of healthy competition. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest and Principal, Rev. Fr. Amritlal Toppo S.J., along with the Vice Principal, Fr. Fabianus Xalxo S.J., and the management member, Mrs Komal Sharma. Mrs Chandra Bhargava, Mrs Sadhana Agarwal, and Mrs Rajashree Kamat served as judges at this event. Their presence encouraged the students and added significance to the occasion. The events were thoughtfully designed for different age groups. Class VI students participated in the Spell Bee Competition, where they demonstrated their vocabulary, spelling accuracy and command over the English language. The competition tested their concentration, memory and quick thinking. For Class VII, a Masquerade Competition was organised, allowing students to express themselves creatively through characters, presentation and effective communication. Their performances reflected imagination, confidence and originality. The Class VIII students participated in an Inter-House Quiz, which tested their general knowledge, awareness, presence of mind and teamwork. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the quiz an exciting and intellectually stimulating event. For Classes IX and X, the Romantic Rhapsody Competition provided students with an opportunity to explore literary expression, emotions, presentation skills and creativity. The participants presented their ideas with confidence and expressive flair. The senior students of Classes XI and XII took part in a Panel Discussion, where they expressed their views on relevant topics and demonstrated their ability to articulate ideas, listen to different perspectives and engage in constructive discussion. The event encouraged critical thinking, logical reasoning and effective communication. The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing the various Houses. The participants displayed remarkable preparation, confidence, creativity and team spirit throughout the events. The school management appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in making the competitions meaningful and successful. Such literary activities at Campion School continue to provide students with opportunities to develop communication skills, creativity, critical thinking, confidence and a love for language and literature. The Inter-House Literary Competitions thus proved to be an enriching and enjoyable learning experience, reflecting the school’s commitment to the holistic development of its students. CAMPION SCHOOL KG-II STUDENTS CELEBRATE “MONSOON MAGIC” THROUGH FANCY DRESS COMPETITION
Campion School, Bhopal, organised a colourful and delightful Fancy Dress Competition for the KG-II section on the enchanting theme “Monsoon Magic.” The event provided the young learners with an opportunity to express their creativity and joy through vibrant monsoon-inspired costumes. The little ones arrived dressed as beautiful peacocks, cheerful frogs, sparkling raindrops, colourful rainbows, fluffy clouds and thunder. At the same time, some children creatively portrayed raincoats and other elements associated with the rainy season. Their adorable costumes, confident presentation and innocent expressions filled the atmosphere with excitement and enthusiasm. The programme aimed to enhance the children’s confidence, creativity, imagination and communication skills, while helping them understand and appreciate the beauty and importance of the monsoon season. The event was graced by the presence of the Manager, Fr. Kapil Xaxa S.J., Principal Father Amritlal Toppos S.J., Headmistress Sister Renisha A.C., KG In-charge Sister Deepshikha, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation and creative efforts of the young children. Father Principal's kind words and gentle appreciation for each performer gave the little ones a confidence that no rehearsal alone could have given them. His encouraging words motivated the little participants and added to the joy of the occasion. CAMPION ROLLER SKATERS BAGGED 1 GOLD, 2 SILVER & 3 BRONZE MEDALS IN THE CBSE WEST ZONE ROLLER SKATING C’SHIP. TWO ROLLER SKATERS SELECTED FOR NATIONALS
Roller skaters from Campion School Bhopal performed excellently at the CBSE West Zone Roller Skating competition and bagged One Gold, Two Silver, and Three Bronze medals. This CBSE West Zone roller skating competition was held recently at the skating rink of SRN Public School in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This West Zone competition was organised by the CBSE. Roller skaters from Campion School, Abaan Farooqui won 1 Gold & 1 Bronze, Divyansh Lagalwar won 2 silver medals, Kashvi Sharma and Anvita Singh won 1 Bronze respectively, along with a trophy and Certificate of Merit in their different age and categories. All the skaters prepared themselves for this competition under the guidance of their Physical Education Teacher & Coach, Mr Sanjay Mishra. In this competition, more than 1,200 boys and girls roller skaters from different CBSE schools in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu participated. Divyansh Lagalwar and Abaan Farooqui are qualified for the CBSE National Level Roller Skating Competition, which is going to be held in the month of October in Belgaum, Karnataka. Principal Fr. CAMPION SCHOOL CELEBRATED INDIA’S 80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH PATRIOTIC, GAIETY & FERVOUR ZEAL. THE ENTIRE SCHOOL COURTYARD REVERBERATED WITH THE RHYTHMIC PATRIOTIC SONGS & DANCES
Campion School, Bhopal, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026, with great patriotism, joy, enthusiasm, and zeal in the Secondary section Assembly Hall and the school auditorium. Hundreds of students from the pre-primary, primary & secondary sections, along with all the teachers and staff of the school, were present and celebrated this occasion. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the teachers and staff drew scenes of Independence Day celebrations, sang patriotic songs, performed in fancy dress, and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion. The day began with the honour of hoisting the Indian tricolour flag by Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo, S.J. The Commanding Officer, Mr Johnsy Koshy, gave a Salute and Slogan command to all the students, teachers & staff, followed by the National Anthem. Asst. School Captain Master Kush Khare gave the Pledge. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythmic Patriotic Song sung by the students’ group ‘Vande Matram, Jai Ho, ‘Hame Bharat kehte hai’, ‘Taqat watan ki hamse hai’ etc. Tiny Tots from the Primary section danced to a patriotic song. Hundreds of students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. An inspiring speech was given by the Secondary Section teacher, Mr Ganesh Xalxo. Master of Ceremonies was done by the teacher, Mrs Amber Abid and students of the Secondary Section. An excellent speech on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day was given by the School Captain, Master Agha Abdul Ali Khan. To mark the importance of the day, Superior & Manager Fr. Kapil Xaxa SJ, Vice Principal Fr. Fabianus Xalxo SJ, Bursar Fr. Blacius Kullu, Headmistress Sister Renisha AC, Sr. Deepshikha, Sr. Jacinta and all teachers of pre-primary, primary, and Secondary were present on this occasion. Campion School, Bhopal, celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit through a colourful and inspiring programme presented by the Pre-Primary and Primary students at the Loyola Auditorium. The programme was organised to instil in the young learners a deep sense of patriotism, respect for the nation and gratitude towards the freedom fighters who made India's independence possible. The auditorium came alive with the vibrant colours of the national flag and the cheerful participation of the little Campionites. The celebration was graced by the presence of the Principal, Rev. Fr. Amritlal Toppo, S.J., Manager Fr. Kapil Xaxa SJ, Vice Principal Fr. Fabianus Xalxo SJ, Manager Fr. Blacius Kullu SJ, Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC, Sr. Deepshikha and other dignitaries, whose presence encouraged and motivated the young performers. Campion School, Arera Colony, Bhopal, organised a vibrant KG-I Tiny Tots Fancy Dress Competition on the inspiring theme “Patriotism.” The event was organised under the able leadership of Sister Deepshikha to nurture patriotic values among young learners and introduce them to inspiring personalities who have contributed to the nation and humanity. The little Campionites came dressed as great freedom fighters, national heroes and inspiring personalities. The tiny tots beautifully portrayed personalities such as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmibai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mother Teresa and several other eminent figures. Dressed in colourful, meaningful costumes, the children confidently stepped onto the stage and delivered a few lines about the personalities they portrayed. Their innocent smiles, enthusiasm and confident performances filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit and pride. The programme was graced by the presence of Vice Principal Father Fabianus Xalxo, Father Blacius, Headmistress Sister Renisha AC and Sister Jacinta, whose presence encouraged and motivated the young participants. A Free Medical Check-up Camp was organised at Campion School, Bhopal, in collaboration with NAYAA and Radcliffe, with the objective of promoting health awareness and ensuring the well-being of students and members of the school community. CAMPIONITES CELEBRATED THE FEAST OF “ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA” WITH GREAT DEVOTION, FULL ZEAL AND ENTHUSIASM
The Feast Day of St. Ignatius of Loyola is celebrated today exceptionally and spiritually with great Devotion, fervour, Enthusiasm and zeal in the Loyola Auditorium by the Pre Primary, Primary and Secondary sections of the Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal. Special prayers will mark the celebrations of the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The event was presided over by the Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo S.J., Vice principal Fabianus Xalxo SJ, & the school Superior Fr. Kapil Xaxa S.J. Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC. The programme commenced solemnly with a grand welcoming and escort for the Fathers and Brothers to the Loyola auditorium and proceeded for the traditional lighting of the lamp & felicitation of fathers and brothers with tika, stalk, bouquets and greeting cards. The Lighting of the lamp was done by the Superior & Manager Fr. Kapil S.J., along with the Principal Fr. Amritlal Topp S.J., vice Principal Fr. Fabianus Xalxo S.J., Headmistress Sister Renisha A.C., Bursar Fr. Blacius Kullu S.J. Thereafter the Welcome Speech and a Prayer of the faithful presented. A beautiful welcome dance was presented by the supporting staff of the primary section. Significance of the day presented by the students. A mesmerizing, rhythmic prayer dance evoked the blessings of the Almighty. The life of St. Ignatius was presented in the form of a dance drama. Merriment was added to the programme by a melodious wishing song and a foot-tapping, lively celebration dance. Apart from special prayers, lots of other colourful cultural programmes will be organized at Campion School to mark the patron saint day. This was followed by a Celebration dance and variety entertainment programme staged by the students of the schools. Blessings were given by Fr. Principal. This celebration and felicitation of the programme was prepared under the guidance of Fr. The Feast Day of Our Lady of Carmel was celebrated with great devotion and fervour in a very special and spiritual way by the school management, staff, and students of the Primary Section in the Loyola Auditorium of Campion School, Bhopal. Special prayers marked the celebration. Feast of Mount Carmel. The Carmel feast is celebrated in honour of the mother of Carmel, the Patroness of Apostolic Carmelite Sisters. This day is celebrated by the Campion family as the school feast with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced solemnly with a grand welcome for the Guest of the Occasion, Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC, Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo S.J., Sister Victoria, Sister Harshit, Sister Jasinta Toppo, and other sisters to the auditorium by the students & teachers. Thereafter, the lighting of the lamp was done by Superior & Manager Fr. Kapil Xaxa, Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo S.J., Headmistress Sr.Renisha AC, other Sisters, etc. Floral & sapling felicitation, along with greeting cards of all the sisters, were done by the students of the primary section. Thereafter, the Programme started by seeking the Almighty’s blessings through a prayer service by the tiny tots. Apart from special prayers, lots of other colourful cultural programmes, prayer dance, Bible reading, wishing dance, and celebration dances were organised at Campion School to mark this day. The Primary section teacher highlighted the importance of the Carmel sisters and the Carmel Feast through the ‘Story of Carmel’ documentary. Fr. Principal, in his message, told the students of the primary section about the importance of this Carmel Feast Day through his short speech. This celebration and felicitation programme was prepared under the guidance of Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC and the teachers of the primary section. On this auspicious occasion, the Master of Ceremony was done by the Primary Section students. A vote of thanks was given by the primary teacher Miss Sharbani.
